Cycling lhasa Kathamandu tour
ormally we fly from Kathmandu to Gongar airport (Tibet). It is around 1:15 minute
flight duration. The views of snow capped mountains from the flights are scenic, the world highest mountain is
just below your airbus. Then we drive for around 65 km to the main capital city of Lhasa. We check into Hotel.
We will take rest for acclimatization. We spend two more days sightseeing in Lhasa before we start cycling, we
visit Sera monastery, Derpung Monastery, Jokhang temple, Barkhor market and not to be missed the Potala Palace
with the local guide from Tibet. We cycle to Gyantse and then to Shigatse. Here we visit second largest monastery,
Toshilhumpo. Then we cycle to Tingri and head to Rongbuk Monastery (4920m) which is close to Everest base camp. Next
morning we will explore north Everest base camp in Tibet side which is 5202m high from the sea level. After
exploring the base camp and Rongbuk we head back to Tingri-Nyalam-Zangbu. We finally cross friendship bridge
and reach Kodari, Nepal. We cycle through greenery and follow Bhote Koshi river. We spend two nights in Nepal
before we head to Kathmandu the capital city of Nepal. We always provide backup vehicle for emergency. While
camping during cycling period Visit to Tibet provide freshly cooked meals, all equipments like good tents,
mattress and sleeping bag…
Cycling trip can be planned toward the western region of Tibet, The standard cycling
package is of 20 days from Lhasa to Kathmandu via north Everest base camp. It is as follows:
Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Arrive Kathmandu, we will meet-greet you at airport and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.

Half day Sightseeing in Kathmandu like Swamyambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square and preparation of cycling tour. Briefing in the evening/overnight at Hotel.

Today we will transfer you to airport in the morning after breakfast and fly to Gongar airport. We will transfer you to Hotel in Lhasa (3650m) Rest/ Overnight at Hotel.

Today we have Guided tour Guided tour in Lhasa by Mini bus (3650m).
Visit: Jokhang Temple, Sera and Derpung Monasteries./ Overnight at Hotel.

Cycle from Lhasa to Chusul (Quxul) Distance: 61 km/ Altitude: 3600m.

Cycle from Chusal to Yarsik (4400m)/ Distance: 77 km, Sleeping Altitude: 4400m. , Highest pass of the day Khamba (Gampa) La (4794m.

Cycle from Yarsik to Langla. Distance: 45km/ Sleeping Altitude: 4560m

Cycling from Langla to Gyantse (3990m). Distance: 87 km, sleeping Altitude: 3990m.

Cycle from Gyantse to Shigatse. Distance: 94 km, Sleeping Altitude: 3860m.

Cycle from Shigatse to Mamo Dzong. Distance: 81km, Sleeping Altitiude: 3600 meters.

Cycle form Mano Dzong to Lhaste. Cycling Distance: 67km, sleeping Altitude: 4050 meters. Today we cross Yulong La (Tsuo, Po 4522m).

Cycle form Tingri to Rongbuk, Cycling distance 49 Km, explore Everest base camp of Tibet (5040m)..

Cycle from Rongbuk to Tingri, Cycling distance 83 km.

Cycle Tingri to Sumdo tyo Tsangdong Distace: 78km. (Two great pass on same day, Lalung La 5005 and thang la 5050.)

Tsangdong /Nyalam to to Bharabise, Cycling distance 84 km.
