Simikot Kailash Kathmandu

Simikot – Hilsa is opened to foreigner in 1993. This route gives the best scenery and culture of both Nepal and Tibet. Simikot has airstrip where our trekking starts. We trek upto Hilsa Nepal-Tibet boarder and reach Purang then catch the Jeep and drive to Taklakot and next day we drive to lake Manasarovar. The following day we reach the base of Mt. Kailash i.e. Darchen. We will go around Mt. kailash in clockwise direction crossing Dolma La Pass. Then we drive to Kodari Boarder and come to Kathmandu.

While trekking this route (Simikot-Hilsa). We get full acclimatization. Humla is Nepal’s highest and northern most remote region. It is culturally rich and has nature which is beautiful and rewarding. The people of this area are mostly Bhotia (Mongoloid). They still live their livelihood by grazing their animal.
